Hapavet was a perfect example of a product registered for cage birds with little proven science behind it.
Did you ever see netobomin used to treat poultry or any other animal?- no.
Unfortunately, the pet industry is very poorly regulated with regards to nutritional and pseudo-medical products. You need to do your research.
Another classic example is Egg and Biscuit Mix which for many years in Australia was nothing more than biscuit crumbs, custard powder (to look like egg yolk) and maw seed- no egg at all!! At least these days there are some better quality products with real egg yolk.
