Where did you crab? Friend went crabbing down near Mosman Park a few weeks ago in a kayak! Said it was tricky pulling up the drop nets and putting them in the sack without getting bitten.

Claremont jetty, drop nets. Mainly big females (not in berry) but biggest male 22 cm carapace, tip of claw to claw 72 cm. have to use special 1 m wide drop nets (legal max size I think, a patient of mine is a pro fisherman and got them for me) any smaller and the big crabs just sit on the outside and steal the bait. Wife is cooking chilli crab as I type, will definitely warm me up.

Alright so for the crabbing tips you need to sell me some birds in a few months OK ??

Thanks for the tips. Was down that way yesterday Geocaching. Unfortunately don't think I've got any birds you're interested in, but if you change your mind about the species I'm having a bit of a run with painteds at the moment.
