I can't imagine you can get any native birds wild caught. But I'm pretty sure that all the feral species are wild caught, or from wild-caught stock ;)

Hi Tuss,
you might like to check out my 2010 price list - it basically has all the finches available in Australia at the moment. It may have excluded Grey Headed Silverbills (Lonchura griseicapilla) because I couldn't get any data on them (but I have seen these in AU).

I also have a full list of available species if you want it.

I only have Javas and Bengos at the moment. But don't knock them. They are both great birds. And this hobby is about the birds you love. And about preserving all finches.

What type of Javas do you have? The Blue wild/type colour are becoming very hard to find in Queensland, another beautiful finch that is underrated, undervalued and seems to be disappearing from collections everywhere in Australia. Does anyone know Why?
I am interested in purchasing any of the more unusual Lonchura species and/or their subspecies. Particularly the Asian Munias or New Guinea Mannikins. If you have some and wish to sell them, PM me with the type, quantity and price
I will buy related or unrelated birds. I am also happy to organise and pay freight from anywhere in Australia.
