They are caged but still in the aviary . They have a nest box ready I just cant manage to fix it to the wall myself so until other half gets home things will stay as they are .
Bourkes entrance hole is much smaller than the Scarlets one so hopefully this will deter them but I think we can partition off part of the aviary for a while so the Boukres are well and truly left alone .
Yes Nathan it wasn't pleasant and I have had him for quite a while too .
What a day ...crap day .
R.I.P
Yeah it's a shame that happend today Deb,
If the princess parrots are known bird killers do you think it would be wise to sell them and buy a new pair wich would be a much safer option to put back into youre mixed collection if you wanted to keep them mixed. Just a sudgestion.
I hope the Burk parrots grow up healthy and strong.
Thanks Nathan

No Nathan sadly this is my fault for not having a nest box for them .
They will stay and I will learn a valuable lesson .... aviary birds will breed at random not when the book says so .

Benson I think that will do me for the Scarlets , Im not replacing the boy .
Other half might like some when he builds his finch aviary though , I doubt I would put them in with parrots again , they are just too sweet natured .

Deb,
What types of finches is your husband going to put in his finch aviary?. And what will the dimensions be?.
Thanks Nathan
