OK so how often would it need to be used for say bird worming ? And is it just a case of dusting food with it ?
I see it also worms other critters

and could it be used to control mites in nest boxes etc ?

Went to local Bird Club meeting last night and the product R.Kingston is selling is called Avi Natural....only need 1 or 2 teaspoons per week mixed with greens or egg an biscuit....and for getting rid of red mites etc just sprinkle along crevices etc....it is extremely fine...much much finer then talcum powder to give you an idea...insects cannot become immune as it cuts them up rather then poison etc... it is about $6.60 for 300gr...which fills about 1kg honey container....

What is Avi Natural? It sounds like another spin on Diatomaceous earth.
