First ever Lutino Blue and Golds ....Indoor and outdoor so no problems with the sensitive Lutino eyes ....Twice health checked .... No not so silly for a serious collector or someone looking at an investment to pay that much .

From memory a few years back there was a BLUE King Parrot with a 50k tag.
It would depend on how many people really were interested,they would most likely dictate its cost not its worth.

This bird was advertised under similar conditions in PSOA journal in 2007 . . owners didn't have facilities . . were not into mutations . . send offers etc

I know a guy who offered $30K, and didn't get a reply . . not even an acknowledgment

Heard a rumour . . repeat rumour . . that $100K had been offered by a Dutch breeder, and when nothing further was heard of the bird, assumed that it had gone overseas . . quite legal with exotics

Would be a shame to see this bird lost to Oz (whether you are interested in parrots, mutations, or not)

My question is . . Why did Shambala 'disappear' for 4 years???

i am actually surprised yet commend PRIAM for choosing not to breed the bird and attempt to develop the mutation for themselves.

I wondered why Priam wasn't putting her into their breeding programme too .

Perhaps they are acting as agents on this one , suppose the commission would make a nice contribution .

I agree Jayburd- looks a bit "anaemic" to me, but beauty is always subjective.

There was a pr of Buffon's Macaws advertised in ABK last yr- asking price $130 K. Hyacinths, if you can get a true pair, would command a similar price.

Makes all our finches look very "cost-effective"!!
