Here's a family of longtails - just fledged over the weekend...

Should I catch them up and release in the house?

oh my god, they are gorgeous, asking me if you should bring them in???? absolutely, you would have so much fun , first in a few hanging cages for a week, then the door open during the day, then at night they will go back to bed, then after a while, once their wings get strong, they will just go into the cages to eat and roost up high somewhere.
just have be careful in the first week, they need to get used to windows....with strips on them so they can see they cant fly through, careful if on the floor, watch where you walk, then who knows, after a few months you too could be as bonkers as me........they adjust to you and find their own favorite spots, it took us 6 months of being very careful, since then, three years later, here we are,. MADNESS.
thank you for sharing your photo, they are sooooo beautiful, i hope one day i will know enough to have my own little breeding family. we call them ninjas for the way they sneak around and watch you....

hi there, thanks for the comment, i really laughed, thats conformation enough for me to seriously consider changing my last name to Addams,

The whole family has been thinking about it for a while now. (SERIOUSLY. i feel we cant fight it any longer, and we do indeed feel like Addams distant wacky relatives).
The long tails love the chandelier; they would often suns themselves in front of the bulbs and preen. (when i had more than one).
as for the chandeliers, i picked three up second hand and repaired them, another wacky past time, picking up bits of broken things and fixing them to be unique.
god, i fear there is no hope....

as we don't have many free flyers at present, we have no problem, they seem to have their favorite spots in the house, and we havent lost any out of the doors, we did have one on a fast flying course at night, zip into the entry and out of the door accidentally, discover it was dark, hover for a second, turn around and come back in, other than that, believe it or not, they don't seem interested in leaving, funny really isn't it.
