How do you use Deb instant potato? Is it the bait or an attractant?
MadOzzie
The Deb potato is the bait and as Natammambo says they eat the Deb have a drink all over red rover. It works for me.
OMG !! At last - a use for Deb !!!!! And i am willing to try anything that isnt an out and out poison due to having dogs, but i have had a mouse and rat problem for the past couple months and try as we are we just cant catch the buggers. Saw a fat mouse sitting in my gouldian feed dish gorging itself so from that day on i"m up at dawn tipping out all the seed from all my birds seed dishes and replacing it. Have tried everything from the faithful peanut butter to chocolate. Tomorrow i will buy a packet of Deb ( just not while i'm in my work uniform !! ) Thanks for the tip.
There comes a time ...
When ...
Against all wants...
You need to pioson the filthy things ...
I fought it for years but when the mongrels are feeding mid day and dont even move when I enter the aviary then that was the time for me .
Bait stations mean other pets dont eat the bait ...my dogs being a bit precious will try and kill a dead mouse and relish in showing me the spoils .
The mice have pert near destroyed one aviary with tunnels , the birds eat food thats been peed on and pooped in , they kill young , drive hens off eggs , cause night frights and spread disease .
And now that our old Staffy isnt here to watch the yard cats are coming in and trying to catch the mice at night ..all very good except they create even more problems .

Dads seting 2 traps in the feed room every day and getting 2 mice every night,we have baiting stations around the back yard but there are not getting eaten yet.????
We think they are coming in from a vacant block behind us, today they mowed it.
Going to get more traps tomorrow there the plastic spring loaded ones $3 each from bunnings.
If you are talking about the grey plastic ones, they look great and work well for a very short time and then seem to loose their killing power.
I purchased 10 and they all ended up in the bin.
Went and purchased some of the old type wooden based ones and they are still (3weeks later)sorting out the little "B"'s
Ive found with the larger traps that they work well at first then the mice wise up to them ...
Ive found the Tom Cat baits are more appealing to the mice but are slow to kill ..
Ive found the Ratsak one feeds are less appealing but work very quick ...
Any truth please to the idea that Bob White Quail will kill mice ?
