I've had similar dealings with the other wildlife place in the hills Venetta. Was asked to be told what happened and never heard, called and as told it was put to sleep 2 days prior. Mine didn't stand much chance as it had been hit by a car, but I still think their practice is to "put it in a warm box to let it recover for 24 hours"... I hope they would crop feed them in the mean time, but doubt it... Anyway, one of my many dreams (maybe another unrealistic one
) is to start up a bird rescue place over here, wouldn't be too big I wouldn't think because it would most likely be only me and maybe my unsuspecting partner... But would give birds a better chance from what I've heard of some other experiences. Have to aim high!

Spanna, I don't want to rain on your parade but try running that one past the relevant authorities..... Buckleys, if they are anything what they are like here with over regulation, parking facilities, local traffic regulations, RSPCA, to name just a few..
OH LORD, SAVE ME FROM YOUR FOLLOWERS!

That's what I thought may be the case Tint, but by the time I'm in a position to do so, I may be working in the department responsible... Just one of the careers paths I'm yet to settle on though
but may give me an inside advantage. Best way to effect change is from the inside!

Hi,
It's a beautiful little silvereye, I miss seeing them in our fruit trees....Unfortunately, we don't see them anymore in the north western suburbs of Sydney because of the damn Noisy Miners!!!...
B*STARDS OF A BIRD!! The scare the crap out of my gouldians by slamming on the front of the aviary.....Hate to say it, prefer the Indian...a least you can gas them legally...
Cheers
