I like the idea of numbers to a main reference that keeps the card small...just look up numbers to nesting, feeding, compatability, quarantine, etc , and newbies would/should be able to quickly learn whats what.. :thumbup:

Plus, the smaller the amount of info located on the species card itself, the more species you can get in!
Although, there are some problems with that method - the big one being generalization. Cordons and fire finches would probably have the same habitat, feeding and perhaps even nesting and compatibility numbers - and yet they do have different needs.....

That's what I thought too - but does that defeat the purpose? I don't know.
