You are right Craig. I do apologise for going off the topic. :oops: I have obviously misunderstood what Storz is using for drenching his Chickens.

If I may say a couple more things on this topic now that I have posted the information that I did, just to clarify matters.

Firstly, I have amended my post because there was an error with what I wrote last night about the Ivermectin used in cattle. The dosage rates I quoted are specifically for the 'pour on' product. This product is for external use only. There are two types of Ivermectin for Cattle - the pour on and the injectible. The injectible product dosage rates are much much less (0.002 ml per 100 g of body weight).

And lastly, to answer Storz's original question about the worming effect of the eggs on other birds when using the Ivermectin Cattle Pour On, the answer is still no.

Thanks to one and all as previously stated I was only trying to create a conversation. It is great to have a discussion like this I for one would not like to feed my finches anything that might harm them and therefore would not feed it. But on the up side I know my chickens have been correctly dosed
