Always try to breed a Split to Colour, meaning Split Pied to Pied that way you know your youn are Pieds And Split Pieds where as Split Pied to Split Pied = Pieds, Split Pieds and Colour so with the young being Splits and Normal you wont know what is split Pied.

Oh okay. Well, I think I might have to find another pied zebra then! With breeding normal hens, what kinds of mutations can I breed with her that may come out as a 'not grey' colour?

Thanks so much for your help by the way, I am very new to this!

Dominant Zebras are the only ones where the Greys will not be Split. So you can put Dilute Blue, Silver to Greys and you get both colours but the Greys are Normal. Cream and Dark Cream are Dominant but i put mine to Fawns and it works the same. Have got Dilute Blues, Silvers and Greys on eggs now. Have Creams for sale in the For Sale section.
