I'm not sure why this question keeps being asked,cats/dogs religion/politics are all no brainers on an open forum.
Just quietly go about your own business and sort out the problem as you see fit, that way no one knows what is going on
and no blame can be bought to bear on any one. :|

My whippet tends to enjoy taking the cats she gets back to her kennel..... Not a nice thing to find a week or so later

The sadness of living in Dubbo .... We bought our Staffy pup to be a replacement yard dog after our old boy was PTS ( RIP old mate ) ....still a pup so mostly inside but was leaving him out more during the day until some unmentionables tried to lure him through the side gate .

Can not even have a pure bred yard dog in case it gets stolen ...sooo bloody wrong and we now have a Staffy that thinks its a poodle .

Oh digressing here anyhoo now that the cat population knows the yard is dog free its a bloody free for all at night with cats in the yard .

Every time one is eliminated another takes its place . Luckily I keep mostly parrots which are pretty much bomb proof so they dont scare easy but my poor little Zebs are often messed up from night frights caused by cats .

Just have to get rid of the cats by any means possible and don't let your left hand know what your right hand is doing ....simple .

Finch man doesnt Rosie chase cats being a little terrier type poochie ????

This is exactly why this topic has been raised yet again. Its not about hating cats.. its about having the right to keep finches safe and sound and HAPPY in our own backyards. Resorting to electric fence setup's, which is what Im forking out for.. Is not my responsibility for controlling my neighbours cats, but it is an easy solution to a problem that I cant rely on being eliminated through a 'POLITE' neighbourly conversation! So am I winning the battle or am I compromising to suit my neighbours pet?

most of the time she's around the aviaries fending off mice so thats what I normally think, that its just a mouse but maybe even the cats are coming in for the mice as well as the birds??

There will be new laws coming into place here that cats must be registered, sterilised and microchipped :)
I thought this WAS already in place in some states??????

Gold Coast City Council has it in place: http://www.goldcoast.qld.gov.au/t_stand ... px?pid=393

I believe other Queensland Local Government areas do as well.
