Hi Sime,
Just make sure to check if that area has been sprayed with anything- I don't collect from my local park, as they spray with pesticides every 6 months or so.

I have been trying to get my Finches to eat different veggies, carrot, sweet potato, spinach. I saw a post that recommended a canary to show them the way. Well my Finches were not impressed when I put the canary in it was as if I had let a Hawk loose in the cage. I will monitor the situation but if it does not improve I will have to remove the canary, my nesting birds even left their nests they were so scared.

Red Faced Parrot Finches would have done the same thing as a Canary... :thumbup:

Red faced/headed parrot finches are scarce here at the moment, I have been looking for 2 pairs for awhile now. I watched the birds this morning and they have settled down a bit so perhaps the Canary will work, he is a glutton anyway, eats the whole day. Thanks
