Just wanted to share my favourite Bird of the holidays.Came across this gorgeous little bird in Bridgetown.

wow lucky you Poitta , they have that sqeaky swing noise , such a big noise for a little bird. It was love at first sight when I saw these

we have a pair that live and have a nest at a local park :D
Love the "pick-it-up! pick-it-up!" noise they make :D

Saw one fleeting around in the Karri forest between Margaret River and Augusta the other day. Wasn't quick enough with the camera unfortunately :-(

We were so lucky , its making a nest under in laws house so its used to people on the verandah and wasnt skittish at all , wonderful Birdlife in the South West isnt there

That there is , most of time you only need to get 45 minutes out of perth, where the local cat population in theory is lower.....pete
