Just wondering if ivermecton can be used in control of ticks. I seem to have had a bit of population explosion in ticks around here and wondered if it would deter ticks(if they have any, buts it would probably be to late otherwise ) from the birds..any thoughts..pete

It's used as a pour on to control ticks on dogs and in fowls. I'd worry about getting the dosage right (quite apart from the fact that any finch with a tick would be dead pretty quickly I suspect).

Thats what i would ahve thought too, havent lost any( touch wood) to see if that was the case , just we have had a few up near the house, didnt think you could use ivermectin on chooks that were for meat or eggs....pete
