I still maintain that the best way to get ideas for flights and aviaries is to see them in "the flesh". At the same time you can discuss with the aviary owners what works and what does n't.
Many, if not most of us, started out small and than started doing additions and alterations. Get as many ideas as you possible can and preferably not out of a book but talk to fellow hobbyists and see what might or might not work for you.
Also keep in mind that conditions in the Kimberley are very different from Victory - or any other place for that matter - and vv
