Quite a few bred them in Australia. They are held in reasonable numbers and not hard to come by. Unique little cup-nesters, secretive in a planted aviary, will hunt a wide range of livefood whilst breeding (spiders, moths,etc) & have a bizarre little backflip courtship display.

thanks for the reply. I have them and find them delightfull. They started off very shy but the male will now take mealworms 1/2 meter away from me. They have had 6 chicks. I really like them but have found almost no posts about them. I also think the males are really beautifull in the sunlight. I just wondered if they have been overtaken by more colorfull species
