Hi Diz, I had large numbers of 8s 9s and 10s years ago. Mainly out of Australian yellows bred in a colony of 5 or more prs,so they might not have been thier own eggs. Most survived, but some could be up to eight days younger and got trampled by thier older siblings. Cheers Craig

I had a hen sitting on 12..yes 12! eggs!! I ended up culling eggs back to 8 by doing a candle of each of the eggs and put back in the nest those I was positive were fertile and about the same stage of development. (hopefully the right thing to do)

I've had 7 fledge and all survive a couple of times but strangely not in the last 5 years or so. No doubt those who've had 8s, 9s and more are also keen fishermen!

8 is my best, no runts in the clutch, all fledging the same day and able to fly well.
