Came across of needle grass the other day and saw these huge seed heads on the plants, that have a similar stem and leaf to a millet plant,so im wondering if you can feed the heads to gouldians and other finches, have never seen this type of grass before so im very cautious, hoping someone has come across it or has knowledge of it ,thanks garyh.

I've never fed needle grasses but they are unlikely to be toxic. There is a risk of puncture wounds but given the spear grass heads that Gouldians utilise in the wild, such injuries are probably more of a concern to larger animals.
