To use or not to use???????
when I bought certain birds from shop, hubby, a real worry wart, had me purchase, about every medication and suppliment the shop had available. Then later, advised me the shop owner, advised him, "you will lose birds from worming!" So here the it all sits, not limited to, but including, Moulting Aid, should I use this product or not. Asking because, couple of birds suddenly went into moulting, or is the homemade egg food, I give daily enough to help them through?

I have moulting aid on hand and have only used it once for a Gouldian that I never thought would finish moulting .'
Im a bit minimal in medications / supplements and think a good diet will be enough however if a bird needs a little help then Ill give the supplements but not just for the sake of doing so .
The birds have tiny little organs and I imaginr processing all the extras would take its toll .

I am a firm believer of cleaning new birds out when they arrive. They are isolated and treated for worms, lice etc. Where most people with good intentions come unstuck is they bombard the birds with medication and kill them, slowly and one treatment at a time and remember the follow up worm-out.

Yep found out the hard way that new birds need to be wormed gradually ...sadly not all breeders can guarantee their stock to be worm free ..

Thanks for the info. Jusdeb, I have held on to the worm out, as some where you gave it good ratings. Just never worked up the nerve to use it, in view of the, you might lose some birds..................
Thank you to, Buzz, I wondered about all the different wormers. I think you are right about lice, after using a mite/lice spray, then Moxidectin, which was for the treatment of ASM, the birds in question look amazing. One hen BHWBYb/aussie yellow split, well, after a week of having her, I could not appreciate her, but after the treaments, she is stunning. Some of the birds in question, had preened themselves to where they had a permanent part in the middle. Amazing! What would you recommend after the Moxidectin treatment?
I won't use the moulting aid, just keep them with the homemade eggfood and veggies.

jay what shop did u buy the birds from
Sometimes, Harvey123456789, is best to get along by not sharing all of what one knows. I will say, I will never purchase any animal from pet shop again. Only supplies if I cannot avoid it.

Don't discount Pet shops I have bought some very good young birds from them and also sold very good birds to them. The trick is not to go there to buy birds go there to see if the birds are good enough to buy. I have also been to bird sales and not bought birds off particular breeders as they did not lets say be totally honest about the age of the birds in question!!!!
