Most times ordinary canaries $25-$30each...Specialist ones $60- $80 in Qld

Harvey what type of Canary as colour in most doesn't matter, then I can give you a better idea what they are worth.

im not shore think there normals was kinda a imposive buy i love canary and seen these today when i went to look at some , blue caps , i payed 35 hen , 40 male

If they are a standard well 25-35 is a standard price from a shop saying 40 for the male he must be a singer as most shops put that kind of price on whistlers. If buying from a breeder prices would be much less more around the 15-25 mark. The problem is Harvey is that different shops and breeders will charge different prices and sometimes the prices don't reflect what the bird is worth. I have sold canaries for years and only get 6-10 bucks for them and have even given a few away. The real question is are you happy with paying $75 for that pair.

Glosters - Fifes - Lizards $10 –$30
Borders -Red Factor $20 – $40
Yorkshire - Mosaics $30 – $50
Norwich $40 – $60

Have not tried it Deb. Only know that small bird to small bird = small bird = very nice. So that is what I try to do with my canarys, because so many are becoming like the budgies. Oversized poor flying feather dusterish.

Thanks Fb .... I was after a Albino boy for my Red Rump girl and the fella said white to white will give me small young . Mine are all good size so if its true I dont want to go down that path .
