Show Zebs

On the weekend i went to a local Zeb Show,what it noticed was how big the birds where compaired to my Zebs.
I have some very good coloured Zebs but half the size of the show birds
So my plan is to buy some bigger Zebs and add then to my avairy/cabinets and try and produce show quality Zebs.
Can anyone help me with some advice/tips on breeding show quality Zebs,(size,shape,colours ect)\

i can give you a cock bird that ofspring have one shows , i have sold bubs out of this fella and he has produced show winning birds ,

im not shore harv never seen a wild one in the flesh im quessing they would be fairly big compard to some muation ones you see around .

No they are much smaller than show zebs

Just thinking why show birds have to be bigger,shouldn't we be trying to get a bird that looks like the ones in the wild.
But saying that i try and breed the fancy coloured ones.???
The ones at the show look like there on Steriods. ..

Wild zebs are usually around 8-10 grams. In comparison, some of the domestics I got from AMCA26 are 16+ grams!
The wilds also usually have brick-red eyes, rather than the brown and bright red that you see in domestics (though not always).

i might have to weigh my big fella , what prize can u win when showing birds , i have some lady who buys zebra of me for showing but never bothered to ask what you win?
