I can't go :( have to work.
But if anyone sees any jacarini's, tri-coloured parrotfinches or white headed nuns, PLEAAAASE grab them for me and I'll reward you in all kinds of other birds! And pay you back
Chances are low (mainly of people getting them for me) but no harm in asking

I will be there, Spanna, happy to buy birds for you but a very risky business buying birds for another party,With my limited experience they may be too old, sick or what ever. If you want to go ahead give me a call or Pm.

cheers Greg.

Hey guys, I'll be there. Got club duties, joys of being a commitee member, so Venetta if you weaken and buy anything, i'll be the one taking your hard earned off of you at the end!! Not selling, but will definitely cast an eye over whats on offer. Spanna I know a guy who was breeding a few Jacs and was getting rid of some around the time of the last auction. i'll ask if he's got any at the mo and let you know, if he's there tomorrow.

Thanks silverfox, that'd be great. Bushranger has very generously volunteered himself to see if he can find any of the birds I'm after, but I'd still appreciate the number if he has any available.
Again, many thanks to Bushranger for volunteering yourself, regardless of whether you find any birds or not!!

A huge thank you to those I had looking out for birds at me at the auction today. Venetta alerted me (through a text message) to a pictorella cock, which I was looking for, and a quick call to Bushranger had him checking it out, bidding on it for me and acquiring it at a great price! He also managed to get me a pair of jacarini's for a good price, which will be a fantastic, lively addition to my aviaires.
I hear thanks are also in order to garymc, silverfox and loz_82 for what I believe was necessary input in selecting the best birds to bid on!!
Fantastic to know that a great little network like this has been established, and gives me great hope for my next 60 odd years (hopefully I get that old  ) in finch keeping!
