Budgies starting at the male centre left and going clockwise, yellowfaced type 2,recessive pied, opaline sky blue, spangled greygreen, another opaline sky blue and hard to say the last one. The cockatiel looks like a cinnamon pearl. Very nice birds I have all of those except the ring necks

the pair has laid 3 clutches,1st with 3 eggs an hatch(2 sold 1 kept),2nd 2 eggs infertile and 3rd 3 eggs 2 infertile a 1 hatched, it was a pure white(my first ever coloured cockatiel other then grey, but it died coz it fledged to early, so when spring hits i am breeding my tiels, coz i haven't bred them in a year

Nice Budgies . Im always a bit concerned when I see birds feeding like yours are . To me it looks like they may be hungry .
With winter coming up they may be needing more food so maybe an extra food bowl so they graze rather than flock to the food bowl .

They look to be in good health . Good luck with them .

Its my first year since I was a kid for Budgies . My hens are in and out of the nests so hopefully they might breed for me soon .

that photo i took was at the start of the year,at that time i was trying to breed my 2 tiel pairs but they wern't interested so i moved the 6 budgies in with them, they have a big plastic purple tray for seed an a medium size boul/dish for water but as winter is comming up i am gonna move them into cages an put them in the garage, the budgies will be housed in pairs for spring
Deb do u know of any sites to dermine mutations of offspring outcome when i breed these pairs

I need to find one myself so I will keep looking and get back to you .
Maz knows about Budgies so maybe we can ask her if there's a genetics site for them .

There in cages until I get a bank of suspended s made . I want to keep them separate and breed for color .
Greens , seed , Madeira cake every second day ,corn and apple . Millet sprays . They're on the back verandah so out of the cold wind but still getting sunshine .

Biggest problem I have is since having birds in cages I have 4 Butcher-birds trying to get at them so today Ive draped bird netting over them ...doesn't look good but should save the caged birds .

Grow them until they produce seed heads then give them to the birds while they are green ...You can start a topic about this and get better info than I can give .
