Hey guys -hope all is well..
Only ever having zebras as a little person, i suddenly find myself with 2 female zebras and i am wondering whether i shuld get them mates. Are they an intrusive finch and should have their own avairy or are they ok with other finches-my thoughts were that they could possibly not be too good to have in an aviary with docile birds like gouldians, cordons, orange breasted etc...

They are not aggressive but bossy and will take over every possible nesting site - I've even had them fill a rosella log that was 3 feet deep! Some keep a small number in with mixed collections, others avoid the grief but having zebbie only flights. If you don't want to breed a females only policy is best. Don't have just males, they will sometimes take their "frustration" out on each other.

They are a in your face bird .
