Just like to take this opportunity to say a big thankyou to Misso for helping Westinch and myself out. Last week I was fortunate enough to locate some birds that we needed for our breeding programme and they are not very easy to locate. The only problem I had they were located in Victoria and it would of been a 28hr return trip to retrieve them as the owner was unable to get to an airport. I was keen but Westfich wasn't (piker). A call for assistance went out to some Victorian FF members and we received a reply from Misso who was happy to us country folk out, as he put it. Lol.

Not only did he liase with the owner of the birds for us but he

Met the breeder at the Mornington sale on Sunday
purchased a carry case for them
purchased a freight box for us
housed the birds overnight
delivered the birds to the airport
and kept me informed by text or phone call.
And the birds arrived in good condition

Thanks again Misso for taken time out to do this for us,

Cheers Bgould

That is exactly what aviculture should be about.

Hopefully we can all help each other out in some way.

Misso showed me the birds and told me the story - it was a great example of Forum members helping each other out. Several others also told me they'd bought (or tried to buy) things for other people. Seems we're a pretty helpful bunch! (flock?)
