air sac mites

How common is air sac mites in gouldians?has anyone had them lately?and how did you get rid of them.thanks.

I just treated mine. I got Moxidectin mixture from the vet and you give .5ml per 100ml in their drinking water. Repeat after 3 weeks. Worked a treat.
The birds sound like they are sniffing when they have it. Hope this helps

I had two cases earlier this year, treated them with moxi plus 5ml to a litre of water. Worked a treat.

I use a drop of ivomectin on the back of the head, has been very effective on my gouldians.
