Off to Fiji on Saturday and was wondering if anyone knows of any bird places to visit.

Kula Eco Park is a good starting point- they have a few endangered birds that you won't get to see otherwise, and it's a lovely little facility (plus you'd be supporting a rehabilitation group). Lots of hotels etc offer birdwatching tours; it's sometimes best to go on one of these as a lot of the land is owned by different villages, and you won't be allowed on them otherwise. Colo-I-Suva is a great rainforest area with a lot of parrot species, as well as some fruit doves and finches (the Raintree Lodge is a good backpackers, and has a nice restaurant worth going to for lunch and a bird exploration) though it isn't very safe, so keep your wits about you.

Have a grouse time in Fiji, hope you find what you are looking for in your holiday destination but, DONT EAT THE MUSHROOMS, or you will never be the same again, have lots of fun. Bon Voyage
