Hey guys, thought I might pop in to give a little update on how all the birds are doing.
It includes good news and bad news. The bad news is that I will be selling most of my zebra finches including the aviary, my parents and I have come to a decision that they are spending too much money on feed which gets devoured within in short periods of time. I may however keep maybe one or two pairs just to have. I'm finding it hard that i have to get rid of most especially the ones which basically started off my colony and where my love for finches, 6 years ago, when I was only 9 began.
They may possibly be for sale for anyone on the forum if they wish to pick them up including the aviary.
Anyways....... Now onto the good news, I've got gouldians breeding and am absolutely excited for next season with them as I have pleanty of young ones colouring up to choose from for next year as part of the breeding program. Some of the adults are beginning to moult, so with the ones breeding I will pull the nests out after the babies have came out of the nest so they can have a nice long rest to prepare them for next year.
Cheers, Brayden. :)

Little birdy died, unfortunately. Currently there is nothing much going on ATM with this pair that had the baby, although I'd like them to be breeding the most.

 Im still waiting for the bad news. You`ve hung in there for years with zebs and now bred a few goulds, good on ya and dont look back, the absolute worse case scenario is that it doesnt work out and get a few zebs again to keep your interest going. Sounds like a win , win to me.

so i ended up selling 25 zebs yesterday and am left over with 3 pairs and 2 babies. I am keeping the birds in an old chicken coop which is easily big enough for 3 pairs.
