Hi Everyone,
just went for abit of finch spotting this morning to see what I could see at a waterhole that iv'e been to before and was delighted to see 9 different varieties of finches which included hundreds of Pics and Y/rumps,heaps of Stars, Chestnuts, Longtails, Masks, D/bars a few Zebs and 8 Gouldians, what a great morning well worth the effort,will have to return in a couple of weeks weather permitting as the wet season is well and truely on its way

Good to hear you are still seeing them in numbers at the water holes. I'm sure that may change soon.

no worries, if ya coming to the finch count will catch up with you there. I see you live in Douglas Park thats not to far from my family who live in Mt Hunter.

As the crow flies we're very close to Mt Hunter - the other side of Razorback. My Mum lives at The Oaks and we very nearly bought a place on Calf Farm Rd at Mt Hunter. Unfortunately I have no relatives within spitting distance from you - closest is a nephew in Alice Springs then a brother in Perth. And yes hoping to fit the Gouldian count in so look forward to meeting.
