How often - Gouldians - nesting

How often do you allow a Gouldian to breed during a season - I have a female on her second clutch (unfortunately
in the 1st - one hatched and was nearly out of the nest and died) in a short space of time (too close particualy as they
moult around now)

I usually allow mine 3 rounds between Feb & July. They will stop breeding when they moult which should be from now until December, but will breed anytime of year if allowed to do so outside of the moult. Most Gouldian breeeders start the breeding season from late Summer & allow them to breed through Autumn & stop before the coldest of Winter nights to minimise losses of young & hens.
