At least with a Jack Russell you know they have murder on their minds, as they present you with dead rodents at every opportunity. BUT they are dead and the dog is off looking for more victims. Cats are cute cuddly sadists.

I would normally laugh at comic style pictures etc BUTon reading through this is a serious topic.
I moved up the coast to enjoy watching the bird life, 15 species of birds visit the yard throughout the year, not to supply a smorgasbord for the cat. This why we built a 14m cat enclosure adjoining the house to stop our cat from escaping and killing the local wildlife.
Google search 3 words - csiro studies cats - and read what domestic and feral cats do for the environment.

But could you safely say they wouldn't kill a couple of your birds if given half a chance?venetta wrote:I can safely say that all 5, YES 5, of my cats are not murderers! Unless you count flies.
On another note these are brilliant http://www.oscillot.com.au/ Ive installed them on a couple of my jobs and they have worked excellent, they also stop those annoying birds defecating on your fence.
