Thats about 80ks from my place Gomer, I took madhatter out there and we saw Spinifex pigeons and Dusky Grass wrens but there was too much water around to get Painteds . They are quite spekky in a small group like that. The times i have seen them here they have always been in small groups like that. :thumbup:

can you stop doing that , I so want to see the birds in the wild , as you all know it can be a slow proccess in getting time off to do so...one day.... I have a mate up on the border of Wa and the Nt and keeps sending me pics of double bars and crimsons on his back veranda the sod....I keep telling there is more than that if you want to impress me....pete

Does he send pics of Red Backed Button Quail ? I would so like to see them in the wild, especially in the NT :silent: Ask him if he can throw some more seed out over vast areas. :thumbup:

Strop, You will have to go for a Sunday drive down to Halls Creek.
I too have not seen them further North than that.

And Pete, you will need to take some time off so you can take them of your bucket list. You're a long time dead!
