a good quality seed mix plus a variety of fresh green food daily. millet sprays as well. green seed heads whenever you can. also livefood such as mealworms or termites. and last by certainly not least fresh water every day.
everyone will have a different idea as to what the healthiest diet would be, what I listed are the staples that I always make available to my birds

Ok that sounds great
but I bought mealworms a few days ago and I hate them!
They won't keep still, They escape from the bowl I put them in and the Finches won't eat them
I wonder if you can take their life so they won't escape. Can the Finches eat dead mealworms?

have never known zebras to be big eaters of livefood, you could try cuting a few mealworms in half. they might have a crack at them then. would also solve your problem with the mealworms getting out of the dish
when feeding my birds I put out approx 50 mealworms (twice a day) and they dont get a chance to escape. if any did the quail would find them real fast with the same end result, a happy bird
