siskins

I would like to know if mixing 2 pairs of yellow siskins with a pair of red siskins in the same flight would cause any issues? I have currently have them all in flights of their own but with time against me I now have to part with a lot of birds and no longer have the extra flight space. I was contemplating placing the two yellow siskins together but everything is saying three or more pairs not two. The pair of yellows have been together for three years now and I think they maybe reaching the end of breeding life, the daughter and her partner have been together for two years and the reds for a year and all pairing off nicely so I guessing there might not be a chance of crossing.
