Hi Everyone,
I'm in urgent need of some advice... I was checking my nest boxes this evening and discovered one box with week old chicks in it had a few black ants around it but also other small insects. They are about the size of a flea but don't jump but crawled. Easy to kill by fingered pressure. A couple were visible one a chick...
So my question is, is there an insecticide that can be safely used in a nest box?? Perhaps a powder product I can put in and around the chicks?? Or is Ivermectin safe to use either on the chicks and/or adult birds??
Any suggestions would be great...
Thanks heaps,
Tim

Coopex is pyrinthian (plant) based. You can empty the nest, wash it in Coopex then put the nesting material and chicks back.
