Hi All,

Not sure if anyone will remember me as its been nearly a year since I have been on AFF.. I re-homed all my birds when we were building our new house which is now a home, so finally I am able to turn my attentions back to the aviary. I am very VERY excited to be collecting/installing our new aviary this coming weekend. 3.6m x 3.8m with a a semi enclosed shelter in 1 corner. My intention is to fully plant it out and fill it with a couple of pairs of Gouldians, Painteds and other pretty finches if I can source locally. Some Brown and Silver common Quail on the ground etc.

I am based in Mandurah, WA so if there are other finch breeders close by please say hello! Especially if you are looking to sell on some on young and healthy birds please let me know.

Hello Tammy,

It sounds like you are not quite ready for your finches yet, but the WA Finch Society is having an auction tomorrow. This is held at the Osborne Park showgrounds in Royal St and starts at 11:00 am.

There is also a bird society in Mandurah and I believe there auction is being held tomorrow as well. I am not sure of the details, it was advertised on gumtree a little while back. Would be a good place to make some contacts.
