Hi everyone,
My name is Daniel, im 24 years old and I have been a huge zebra finch fan
since my hobby began when I was 8.
I live in Victoria's south east.
I specialise in grizzle and red zebra finches,
However I also breed bengalese, and several other lonchura species,
Including:
Spice finches (nutmeg mannikins),
Chestnut-breasted mannikins and
African silverbills (just found 4 babies in nest this morning XD)
Although my obsession isn't limited to finches, also I breed budgies
And turquoisine parrots in yellow.
Cheers!

Hi Daniel. Welcome to the Forum. I think you will find it very informative. I also find it very amusing with many regular contributors with differing opinions and different personalities - just like birds.

Welcome to the forum. The Monochromatic finches have so much more variety than many people realise.
Only problem is the need to keep and breed them in separate avairys to avoid hybridisation.
But that's OK just have a big row of 2x1x1.5 avairys with a pair in each.

Don't worry, no hybrids here
And yes they are a "pretty" bunch of birds, my favourite
Being the chestnut breasted mannikins.
Just wish the yellow rumps were off licence.

I am fairly careful with mine, but due to space shortages and ignorance in the past have had. Chestnut by Bengo and Java by Bengo crosses. Seems these Bengo hens are a little non observant as to who is jumping them.
