Hi Silverbull
Welcome to the forum.
I too was a keeper of reptiles years ago, having kept 3 crocodiles, venomous & non venomous snakes.
I sooner be bitten by the bird bug than a snake.
Cheers.

If you are willing to wait a little while the Gawler Bird Club hold their bird sale at Sandy Creek in March and that is generally the first sale of the season in SA, so is usually well attended with both sellers and buyers.
If you cant wait you could try the Barossa Bird Club online bird sale page, dont know if there would be many on there though as their sale is in May so breeders may hold back their sale stock till then. Might not get a lot of mutations either.

Hi Silverbull,

Funny, I have just gotten back from spending a fortnight in Strathalbyn and Adelaide with Family for Christmas. There are two good Finchos in Strath that were my mentors while growing up.
There are some good dealers in Town too.

All the best.

Welcome to the forum. Well once you have the avairys built, you will have built up enough posts on here to be able to access the for sale section and see who in your area is selling what you want. Which types of finches are you planning on getting into?
