Hi just wondering if someone ciuld give me some advice.

I got a couple of pairs of gouldian of a breeder last Wednesday and I have been away from thrusdsy until today (sunday) and ive come home to find him fluffed up and just sitting around. I did see him drink but not eat as of yet, his colour is still bright also. He appeared fine wed and thrus morning. And the breeder I got him off has had finches for a very long time and all his birds looked well and healthy.

There could be a lot causes for this, where did you house them, most likely stress, could they find water and seed and were they supplied the same way as where you got them from.Gouldians are dumb birds and if the seed is supplied in hoppers and they are used to open trays they will starve to death as they wont no what a seed hopper is. The list can go on but you need to give us a lot more information. Craig

The seed is in a open dish. All the others are finding it well. He was drinking this arvo. He hasn't got any nasal or eye discharge. Nothing around his back end. He does feel a little lighter in the chest compared to others. I sat outside and watched him for a couple of hrs but heard nothing abnormal in breathing. He was very slow that I could catch him in my hands. I was worried it was the stress of moving but his demeanor is so doopy that I think he won't make it. Don't know what else to say to give more advice cause all I can pick up on is sitting around fluffed up.

No he isn't wiping his beak. Just sitting there. Eyes closed most of the time. Yeah I put him in a heated box.
