I went, but didnt get there until 1pm, by which time alot of the sellers had left, stall holders packing up etc. There were still plenty of birds, and quite few were marked down, and guys were haggling. I was told that trade was really brisk in the morning. Got my bottle of D3 for the gouldians, and saw some nice birds.

Hahns Macaws drew my attention but other than that there was not a lot that was unusual or over the top.
The bloke next to us did sell $11 000 worth of lories though...other than that it seemed to go very slow.
I was there from open till 1200 and it got the the point where people were having fire sales at some tables.
The market is in a weird place at the moment when it comes to birds.
On the sale itself..I found it to be well run and quite a nice decent sale. I will be returning next year for sure.
I scored some nice pied parrot finches and a double split bourke.

I wouldn't bet on it BB.
I love the "squirters" as EOrix call them but the market is very small for them.
If he sold them for 11K they probably cost him 20K!! ;)
I wonder what species he sold?

He told us that's what he maxe.
He had these (forgive the poor description) large lories that were red and black or dark blue. Whatever they were he was selling them for 850 approx per pair and they were moving. Looked nice but I am not a fan of lorys.
