Last year I insisted, actually demanded, that NSWNPWS send out one of their returns book. This was due to the pathetic internet service that we 'country folk' have to use and my inability to use their electronic records.
BTW when I was asking about what species and their numbers held on my records to my shock they advised that my records had not been updated recently, 7 years out of date. This is a good example why the government has allowed us to access and update their records electronically as it appears they do not have the manpower to audit successfully and hope most bird people will complete their records in a timely manner.

I refuse to use it & asked for the books the first year they bought it in, they even paid me a "random visit" afterwards, & said my name was drawn out of a hat so to speak, but then enquired why I wasn't using the electronic system, so I politely told them where they can shove their online record system.

I did our internet return in Victoria last year and it worked like a dream. Really, it worked well. Gonna do it again.
