Searched threads and internet but still a little confused  One off my gouldian hens had a scabby thing growing over one eye. The scab has gone and now it has no feathers around both eyes ! Not sure if it is/was Scaly Mites or an Iodine/mineral deficiency ? The bloke at my local bird store gave me Vetafarm Poly-Aid Plus and told me to add some to birds water, but when i got it home, it said to mix slurry and administer directly ??? :wtf:

Im only a few months into the finch world. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Polyaid Plus needs to be made into a slurry and given direct to the beak or by crop needle. Spark is the product you add to the drinking water.
These both help to correct dehydration and are great for sick birds but they won't help the eye issue at all.
I'd monitor the eye for any recurrence of the scab or enlarging of the featherless areas.
Research; evaluate;observe;act
