Lemongrass seed heads?

Has anyone tried lemongrass seed heads as finch food? Any joy?
Just been for lunch at a local cafe & noticed a couple of plants with seedheads in the courtyard & thought they'd make great aviary plants & wondering about the possible food value of the seedheads for finches. I tried some of the green seed myself & it has the lemon flavour as you'd expect.
