Yes there are a few insectivor soft foods available that can be fed out in a separate dish but i don't feed it at this time of the year although i do feed frozen sprouted seed with a finch soft food mixed in it but it's really only there to dry out the sprouted seed before i freeze it but it's a bonus for the finches. Normally ease off as well, but just thought I'd try it out while I had a beer & watch their reaction.
Another bonus for them come breeding time...

I've put a little bowl of this on one side if the enclosure...figured if they wanted some they could...I also sometimes get live food and mix it in with them . Not sure of the benefits but some do go and pick at it at times...can't do any harm surely ?

Are we talking something like the Wombaroo insectivore powder or something you feed the the live mealworms supposedly to give them more nutrition?
