Does anyone have experience with birds that look healthy but can not maintain flight? I have a very healthy looking fledgling that had trouble in the aviary, since removing it I have treated it for mites (general mite spray), wormed it and the only real change is for the worse. The only thing I can see appears to be a redness around the ear so am thinking it could be an inner ear infection? Any ideas?

Not possitive but that just looks like lack of feathers. Have you kept the family together when you took the bird inside? It may not be feeding fully independantly yet.

This bird had been feeding independently for a couple of weeks prior.
