freezing mealworms

Hi,i am wondering if it would be possible to make mealworm in packets of +-40 worms and put it in the freezer. If it is possibe how long can i keep them in there.

If you put them in the fridge they'll keep for ages & stay alive. Freezer will kill though.

Refrigeration Yes; Freezer No; for some reason they don't freeze like other types of live food but end up like little black sticks
and they become unpalatable.
If you manage them properly they will refrigerate for ages, You need to take them out of the refrigerator about every 3 weeks.
They will warm up, become active again and feed then after 3 or 4 days back in the refrigerator and repeat the process
Make sure the lid of the container is air tight otherwise they will dry out and die.
You will have some fatalities just remove the black dead ones.
