Hey guys,
recently had the privilege of travelling over to Europe for a holiday. Spent a very small amount of time looking at birds, mainly finches but thought I'd share 2 places that I went to in case others travel and would like to experience it too. Sorry for the photos they were all just on my phone.
So the first is Birdworld which is about 1.5 hours from London. I discovered it had finches so thought I should check it out. As with every place I was lucky enough to see finches they were all mainly Australian natives and at Birdworld I didn't get to see any finches I hadn't seen in the flesh before. They had Blue faces, Double Bars, Gouldians, Silverbills, Javas and Longtails from memory. They had most of the finches in the area called the temperature house but also had an aviary called Outback Landing which hosted bush budgies, zebs, diamond doves and longtails. Apart from finches there was plenty of softbills I hadn't seen before, Macaws, Toucans, Birds of Prey, Australian Magpies, Sea Birds, Penguins, Flamingos, Parrots, Emus All sorts of different varieties. It was well worth the look.
I also went to the bird market in Paris which was full of finches but I will have to do that one up another day.
