Here some pics of African Astrildid finches bred by a friend of mine and photographed by another friend.

I have the ok to share these pics and the species are too nice, and some of them too rare in captivity, not to share.

At the same time I have a question for the forum owners. Why oh why is the size of the pics limited to 640 x 480 pixels while the accepted norm elsewhere is 800 x 600?
Drag and drop would even be nicer still :-)

Cheers, Case, Tauranga, New Zealand.

Lovely photos, we are all drooling. But what is an Astrildid? Think you mean Estrildid. Probably a typo. Does your friend live in the "Land of the long white cloud"? If he does does then you are one lucky bugger!

Ken.

I am drooling over my keyboard, beautiful birds. What makes Australia so precious and vunerable, that we cannot import such beautiful birds.

The trouble Ken is that I speak four languages and sometimes you get them mixed up. :lolno:

All birds are bred and photographed in "The homeland" Holland.

cheers
